Eccedentesiast

"Eccedentesiast" is an original ink illustration portraying a person smiling through tears. Eccedentesiast is a word cobbled together from the latin words "ecce" (to present), "dente" (teeth), and "-iast" (performer). An eccedentesiast (lit. "one who performs with teeth") is one who smiles instead of showing pain. Putting on a mask of happiness in order to not bother others is a very common thing that people with BPD (and many other disorders) do.
